Local directory

The client requires a local directory C:\RR_LocalData or \user\local\RR_LocalData.
This directory is used to:

• cache renderer settings
• supply the render application with a controlled temp folder (no space overrun problems if you render a lot of jobs).
• save textures of scenes locally (requires special submission)

Active X

No Active X registry installation on workstations required any more.

Services

The service does now run completely in the background. Vista restrictions that dis-allowed the client to show its UI on the users desktop have no effect any more. To control/view the client status, you have a seperate rrClientWatch application.
