No AMD CPU

A very common error message is:

[Redshift] Preparing compute platforms

[Redshift] Found cuda compute library in C:\RR_localdata\renderer_exe\houdini\win_x64\Redshift_2025.5.0\bin\redshift-core-cuda-vc140.dll

[Redshift] Could not load the hip core library from C:\RR_localdata\renderer_exe\houdini\win_x64\Redshift_2025.5.0\bin\redshift-core-hip-vc140.dll

[Redshift] error:

[Redshift] Found cpu compute library in C:\RR_localdata\renderer_exe\houdini\win_x64\Redshift_2025.5.0\bin\redshift-core-cpu-vc140.dll

Do NOT be confused by "hip" = Houdini scene files?
It refers to the AMD library it uses: c:\Windows\system32\amdhip64.dll
"Heterogeneous-computing Interface for Portability (HIP) API"

You may remove this .dll from your redshift installation if you do not have AMD GPUs.
